Time Flows...

Apparently, it's been four years... Four years since I last logged on here, or at least that's what the screen is telling me since my profile said I was 25...in actuality, I'll be turning 29 in a little less than two hours. My how time flies...especially when you haven't done anything "arty" for awhile. So I'm making this promise... It's nearly cherry blossom season here, so I'm going to go out to the park, take some new pics and post them pretty much everywhere I can, just because I need to do something creative again. I've been too far and too long dead.

So I went to Maine. I actually got to go shoot the Portland Head Light not once, but twice! Unfortunately...I was idjot and didn't check my settings. Apparently I (at some unmemorable point) changed my iso to 1600 (not very nice for clear daylight shots) and uck...tons and tons of digital noise now appear on half of my shots. The good news... The standard jpegs I shot are just fine, but of course they are only just jpegs. The bad news... The noise is horrendous though I can use photoshop to take some out, the pictures look best when I run them through optikVerve Labs Virtual Photographer program and give them that old time feeling. Slow Beginnings

For the last half of August, I was on vacation and managed to take the Pentax, Canon and my new Holgaroid with me. The holga gave me a bitch of a time because I'd never worked with polaroid before and after some very beginning mistakes (not taking the blackout slide out and misloading). I got about one *useable* (and just barely) picture. Hopefully, I'll be able to afford some film in the near future (polaroid and some fuji slide, because that's what I REALLY want to shoot with) and I'll have something worthy of putting up here. But for now, I'm just wading through the tons of shots I've got hanging about trying to decide what to add to my p
